We do daily backups of files (including email) and databases using JetBackup - the rotation generally is 7 days with the exception of server9 which has a 21-day rotation.
Some systems (currently all but server9 and nlcp01 to 10 until migrations have finished for each server) also run Acronis backup which is a block-based solution, this runs every 6 hours, and the rotation here is 28 days.
You're able to restore individual files, folders, databases directly from the JetBackup-section or by clicking on the Acronis icon in cPanel.
Accounts that are overdue will get their backups deleted after 7 days.
There are rare cases where the availability of backups might be less:
- Accounts being migrated from 1 server to another
- Replacement or maintenance of our storage server where the loss of backup data may take place.
- Possible loss or data corruption.
We always recommend people to keep a copy of their own files as well.
